Interested in a Riding Camp with Cookie Grimes?  Here’s an opportunity to spend  three days absorbing Foundation and Riding Awareness at the Grimes’ ranch.  You’ll be surprised at how quickly you’ll move along with your horse. There may be times when you’ll have to laugh and play with your pony like you never have before!  There is a covered round pen with music and lights, just in case we play late.  An arena with jumps and ground poles, 40 acres with hills, ditches and ponds.  We may have to ride our horses to town for an ice cream, and a stop at the Post Office to drop off a few post cards to friends.  Or we can ride from the ranch for three miles to the forests of the Bitterroot Mountains for a ride in the woods. There are always lots of mushrooms and flowers to seek, or just a ride down the road for a view of all the animals along the way. We may even load the horses and trailer 20 minutes away for something totally different.

Caitlyn is just having fun with Ace…Her family can’t believe she’s even on a horse!

A walk with Mother nature  is always a delight.

ACE AND COOKIE SHARE A CHOCOLATE ICE  CREAM IN TOWN!

I feel you should never have to fight with your horse;  if you're  COMMUNICATING  and UNDERSTANDING the equine body language and natural horse behavior , there won’t be the tugging, pulling, danger and  frustration we have all experienced at one time or another.

If you can’t remember the last time you had  fun with your pony then this may  be what you’re looking for. You’ll be amazed at  the transformation. Give it a try...

At the camp you will learn how to understand what your horse is saying to you while you’re riding, which I call Riding Awareness.  I believe once you and your horse understand each other, both your confidence and your horse’s confidence will increase, and you can explore other aspects of horsemanship.  You’ll learn Foundation: saddle fitting,  body work, Play (Cookie’s interpretation), equipment, and ground work. Once your horse learns the ground work, then we build from there and transfer it to your riding. We’ll be doing a lot of riding, so bring your horse’s favor saddle.

We are sure that you and your horse will have a ‘Wonderful Experience’!
