     Try a gentle, natural, intelligent, approach to Total Communication: Sensible Equine Awareness. I can create a positive change to the relationship between you and your horse.

     My name is Cookie Grimes. After more than a decade of study I have blended a variety of equine training methods taught by well-known horse clinicians, equine doctors, massage therapists and farriers, into orchestrating and helping solve the horse/human behaviors which comprise a good working partnership.

     “Problem horses” are rarely that.  What we see as undesirable behavior in our equine friends is ALMOST ALWAYS caused by one of the following: a health problem, undesirable tack, poor saddle fit, human “predator" characteristics, incorrect shoeing or trimming, the horse and rider not communicating clearly, an abusive history, or HOW the human is sitting and riding the horse.

     I am still working hard to achieve the natural horsemanship goals advocated by Ray Hunt, Pat & Linda Parelli, Peggy Cummings and other fine instructors: true HARMONY with your horse through MUTUAL RESPECT and understanding. You and your equine buddy should be one compatible unit as you ride.

     I feel you should never have to fight with your horse; if you’re  COMMUNICATING and  UNDERSTANDING the equine body language and natural horse behavior, there won’t be the tugging, pulling, danger and frustration we have all experienced at one time or another.
