· I came to Cookie with my short, barrel-chested horse which my two saddles kept rolling off despite seemingly having an acceptable fit. In less than 10 minutes she was able to demonstrate to me a technique for finding a saddle that not only fit him properly, but also was acceptable to him. Taking what I had learned from Cookie, I set out to find "the" saddle, but still a bit skeptical of the technique of allowing my horse to tell me if he would accept the saddle. After many tries with both new and used saddles that either he didn't take to or simply didn't fit, I came across one that not only fit the way it should, but also one which he readily accepted. Since this saddle was used, I saved hundreds of dollars over a new one and have had many hours in this saddle that he and I both enjoy. I will always pay close attention to the teachings from Cookie about being partners with my horse.

· Believe me!  Horses know the difference between working and playing better than we humans do.  The equine response to playfulness is a magical attentiveness not demonstrated by a working horse - or, for that matter, a working human being.  I highly recommend Cookie's methods to produce a richly responsive and delightful relationship with your horse.  Problems simply melt away.

My mare Tess is my best friend. Together we've been to 5 different Parelli instructors plus Buck Brannaman, Ray Hunt, and Dennis Reis clinics. While all have been helpful, Cookie was the only person to help Tess relax when being saddled, and to relax her mouth when being ridden. Cookie's stories are really helpful to see things from the horse's point of view, and her ability to show us how the horse is constantly giving us answers is life-changing. Tess is much happier now that she knows I'm able to listen to her!
